Each year on Memorial Day, NBCS honors those in the military that have passed away or died in the line of duty with our Memorial Day Assembly. I always enjoy this day, with students singing patriotic songs, veterans speaking, and everyone respectfully honoring those who have served our country and given the greatest sacrifice. I will miss hearing "A Toast to the Flag", In Flanders Field and Mr. And Mrs. Towne talking about the members of the military and their service. Take some time to reach out and thank a current or former member of the military for their service. Send a card, make a phone call, FaceTime or video chat. Tell them that we all appreciate the hard work and sacrifices they have made to protect our country. Please watch the following video to learn a bit more about Memorial Day.
